The purpose of the ODL Text Capture Study was to develop guidance, case studies, workflows and scenarios to ensure a more uniform approach to delivering effective, accurate and cost efficient text capture.

The following items were delivered through the study:

• A guidance document for Oxford University on text capture for non-experts.
• Further advice specifically for ODL that takes the general guidance to a more detailed level
• A number of scenarios built from existing examples of Oxford text capture projects detailed.
