Full text capture/OCR study

The purpose of the ODL Text Capture Study was to develop guidance, case studies, workflows and scenarios to ensure a more uniform approach to delivering effective, accurate and cost efficient text capture.

The following items were delivered through the study:

A guidance document for Oxford University on text capture for non-experts.
Further advice specifically for ODL that takes the general guidance to a more detailed level
A number of scenarios built from existing examples of Oxford text capture projects detailed.

The results of the Study are available to view here in PDF form (818kb). The report is entitled "Deciding whether optical character recognition is feasible".
